What it is worth knowing is simpler: there is no single "the price" for this product. Whatever figure you saw last week may not be the figure today, and a screenshot of a price is not a promise. The renewal rate, by contrast, did not move at all while we watched, which tells you which number the vendor treats as negotiable and which it does not.

Is Norton's price different for different people?
Our measurements are consistent with A/B price testing, the same page quoting different figures on different days. We measure what the public page shows; we cannot see how any individual visitor is bucketed.
What should I do about it?
Check the price on the day you buy, and check the renewal figure too, that one has been stable in our tracking even while the first-year price moved.
