Steam charges Turkey, Argentina and Pakistan in dollars. Here is what that looks like
Since 20 November 2023 Steam has priced Turkey and Argentina in US dollars, and Pakistan sits on a dollar-priced tier too. The dollar did not make prices equal: today the median game costs 66% of the US price in Turkey, 66% in Argentina and 67% in Pakistan. But a large share of games are simply charged the full US price, because that is what each publisher chose.

What changed in 2023
Before November 2023, Turkish and Argentine prices were set in lira and pesos and, as those currencies fell, became some of the cheapest in the world. Valve replaced them with dollar pricing and published recommended dollar tiers for each region. Publishers can follow the tier, undercut it, or charge the US price. Why did Steam switch Turkey and Argentina to US dollars?
Valve said exchange-rate swings made local prices impossible to keep current, and moved both countries, plus 25 others in Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa, to regional US-dollar pricing from 20 November 2023.
Are games cheaper in Pakistan on Steam?
Often, but not always. The median game costs 67% of the US price; some big releases are charged the full US price in dollars.
Does the dollar tier apply to every game?
No. The tier is a recommendation; each publisher sets its own regional price, which is why the same country can be a third cheaper for one game and identical to the US for another.
